I turned 37 this year.
And one decision I made 15 years ago completely changed my life. Back in 2010, I was searching online for business ideas.
That's when I came across a blog called ShoutMeLoud, run by Harsh Agrawal. He shared how he accidentally started a blog and turned it into a successful online business.
As I kept exploring, I discovered other bloggers like Amit Agarwal. His story inspired me even more.
He left his software engineering job at Goldman Sachs, moved back to Agra, and decided to build his career around his tech blog.
Reading stories like theirs made me think, "Maybe I can do this too."
So, in 2010, I started my first tech blog.
Looking back, it was one of the best decisions of my life. That blog helped me land better jobs. It opened up multiple streams of income. It led me to start other online businesses.
And in 2021, it gave me the confidence to quit my full-time job and build my own IT consulting company.
For years, whenever someone asked me how to start something of their own, my answer was always the same. Start a blog.
But we're in 2026 now. The internet has changed. And so has my advice. If someone asked me today how to build an audience...I wouldn't tell them to start with a blog.
I'd tell them to start creating videos. And build distribution around them with newsletters, a website, and social platforms.
Here's the uncomfortable part.
I've been giving this advice for a while. But I kept postponing it for myself. So I'm fixing that. At 37...I'm starting from scratch again.
I'll document everything I learn, the mistakes I make, and what actually works.
